CSINC Project Case Studies
This 1,000-ton, 36 inch marine dredger, along with its many accessories and floating power station, was a project few in the industry would take on. The tearing down reassembly and moving of a vessel of this size from a fresh water lake 50 miles in-land in central Florida was nothing less than a monumental task. This move required mega-loads that involved removing power lines, closing city streets, reinforcing numerous bridges and blocking highways to accommodate the dozens of 30 axel trailers necessary to handle the loads. This is one of the largest dredger in the world and it was successfully transported over 6,000 miles.
CSINC in cooperation with the Angola Government Shipped over 160 pieces of heavy equipment including dozers, loaders, graders, excavators, compactors, service trucks, dump trucks, trailers, rock crushers, temporary living, quarters, and spare parts totaling over 20 million usd. To meet our clients strict project deadline CSINC Chartered an entire ocean liner in order that all equipment would arrive on time and in one batch. CNSINC coordinated the complete off loading of the chartered vessel at Port Lobito, as well as coordinated all local import procedures, customs clearances and in-land logistical movement of all equipment to the dedicated work site in Angola.
Continental Shipping delivered over 50 Mack Tractor trucks, trailers, cranes, and port handling equipment, as well as oil field production equipment, from the United states to an in-land Shell Oil production site in Sub Saharan Africa. The equipment arrived ahead of schedule and the transportation work commenced early saving our clients millions.
